Vicki will share her inspiring journey through the national parks and how she combines photo inspiration and imagination to make graphic style art quilts. She will share a few funny stories as well as history and facts about the parks. She will also speak a little about the various techniques she uses. Turned edge machine piecing, fussy piecing and silk screening. 

Vicki is a textile artist who interprets the natural world through fabric and thread with the goal of highlighting the beauty of—and need to conserve—public lands. She is best known for her original national park poster–style art quilts. Welcome to Washington Stars Quilt Guild

Founded in 2000, the Washington Stars Quilt Guild has been bringing quilters together for 25 years and counting! We offer a biennial quilt show, monthly programs with nationally and internationally known speakers, hands-on classes, retreats, and community outreach projects that give back through quilts and seasonal donations.

We meet at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Olympia. Business Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30), and Program Meetings take place on the third Tuesday (guest fee may apply).
